Communication in Languages other than English
  1. Initiate, sustain and close conversations, (written or) on a variety of topics, using predominantly familiar vocabulary and grammatical structures. (Interpersonal mode)
  2. Comprehend a passage or conversation (oral or written) in a variety of situations and on familiar topics, using predominantly familiar vocabulary and grammatical structures. (Interpretive mode)
  3. Create, express, perform, and/or present using learned and spontaneous language, in an organized structure (written or) on a variety of predominantly familiar topics, with accuracy, comprehensibility, and some degree of fluidity. (Presentational mode)
Knowledge and Understanding of Other Cultures

  1. Analyze and synthesize how the viewpoints of people who speak the target language are reflected in their practices.
